In Alagaesia, a fifteen-year-old boy of unknown lineage called Eragon, finds a mysterious stone that weaves his life into an intricate tapestry of destiny, magic, and power, peopled with dragons, elves, and monsters.
This is a meaty, well-written book. A great book for teens interested in dragons and magic. Teen boys, in particular, will identify with the protagonist as he struggles to identify who he is as he comes of age. There is some darker aspects to this book, so I would stick with the recommended age range.
